Great job Wildcats on dressing to impress for the homecoming dress-up days this week! Just to clarify tomorrow's dress up day will be soccer mom vs BBQ dad, Thursday's dress-up day is Hawaiian, and Friday's dress-up day is spirit day.

Elementary Family-Teacher-Conferences (FTC) - October 17th & 18th (3:30 to 6:30 pm) Research shows that parents’ involvement in their children’s learning is a more powerful predictor of academic success than any other variable. Studies find that 80% of the variation in public school performance results from family influences, not the teacher’s. Bottom line: Parents, not schools, are the biggest determinants of children’s learning. Hope to see you all at FTC in October. (Letters to be sent out soon.) Mr. S.

From the Desk of Mr. Sondag Dear Center-Stanton Families, In our busy world, our minds and bodies can get wrapped up in the hustle and bustle, and may have a hard time slowing down. It is also easy to get stuck thinking about things from the past or in the future, while forgetting to focus on the here and now. We all start out with a healthy ambition to accomplish and grow our abilities. Sometimes along the way when things don’t seem to come naturally to us, it is easy to give up. We can’t! We need to think positively and persevere. Anyone who excels in their field has come upon hard times. They succeeded because they persevered and learned through positive experiences. CSES POSITIVE BEHAVIOR INTERVENTION & SUPPORTS: The Teachers/Staff and Administration are continuing PBIS (Positive Behavior Interventions & Supports) in our school, as a way to encourage our students to promote positive behavior, kindness, and generosity toward each other. PBIS recognizes that students can only meet behavior expectations if they know what the expectations if they are known in advance. Everyone learns appropriate behavior and common language will be used when it is discussed in individual classrooms. By implementing PBIS, this school-wide approach to behavior focuses on building a safe and positive environment in which all students can learn. • Student + Parent +School + Community = SUCCESS • Wildcats are… Kind + Responsible +Safe +Positive +Respectful = READY TO LEARN The children are our future. We are role models for them. We owe our children the gift of love, time, and the ability to persevere. Wishing you a happy Fall season. I hope you find time to do everything that is important to you and your family. Mr. Sondag
