Focus Gratitude on Education
From the Desk of Mr. Sondag
As Thanksgiving approaches, our gratitude could be focused on education. American Education Week is recognized the week before Thanksgiving, I personally want to express my gratitude for our outstanding school system and the opportunity to participate in your community.
When a child enters school, we are fortunate to have teachers who teach us how to work as a team — student, teacher, parents — Team Our Kids. Success was not only dependent upon our student’s abilities and the teacher’s guidance but our involvement as parents as well.
Over the school years, we hope to developed a deep sense of community at our elementary school. We built a strong network, intentionally including students, teachers, administrators, parents, and other community members. These powerful ties enabled us to come together as a "Village Raising a Child."
What does parent participation look like? It can be helping with homework, reading aloud, asking about their days, helping them navigate relationships, asking how to help, writing letters, and even sending a note of encouragement.
We will sow the seeds of friendship and create community. And most importantly, we will be left with educated and engaged citizens of the future.
Have a Happy Thanksgiving, spend quality time with your loved ones over this break.
Mr. Sondag

Kole is counting socks for Socktober and making homemade pizza for his family on his Snow Day. His sock/hat count is over 2000! And his taco pizza isn't bad either 🙂
Another awesome Wildcat going above and beyond serving others! How great is that! Proud of you, Kole!

MaKenna and siblings made play dough on their snow day.
Looks like a fun family table with all those smiles. I'm sure there were some giggles, too! Looking good, Wildcats!

How many Reinke kids can you find?
Looks like a fun-adventure for a snow day for this great group of WIldcats!

October PBIS Parties were held Friday, October 28th. 92% of our students qualified for the Positive Behavior Party for their excellent behavior during the month of October.
Kindergarten through 2nd Grade celebrated with a trip to the Wildcats & Coffee Shop. There they receive a fancy cup of Hot Chocolate and a donut, and join in on some fun Halloween coloring. (Check out the Pictures)
3rd through 6th Grade celebrated with a classroom movie and popcorn party.
Fun was had by all. Hopefully the 8% that missed out of this party make the November PBIS Party. Only time will tell...
