Center-Stanton Student Kallen Albers Named FIRST Leadership Award Finalist
Center-Stanton is proud to recognize Kallen Albers for his outstanding achievement as a FINALIST for the FIRST Tech Challenge Leadership Award—one of the highest individual honors in the FIRST robotics program.
Formerly known as the Dean’s List Award, the FIRST Leadership Award recognizes the dedication and individual contributions of outstanding student leaders who advance STEM, leadership, and the mission of FIRST within their teams and communities. Kallen’s selection as a finalist places him among the top student leaders in FIRST Tech Challenge, representing not only his team but also our school and community at the highest level.
Kallen is a member of FIRST Tech Challenge Team Crocobots #9473, where he has played a critical role as a leader, programmer, and builder. His ability to lead by example, mentor younger students, and push the team forward has made a lasting impact on the success and culture of the program.
This week, Kallen will travel to Houston, Texas, where he will be recognized on the global stage at the FIRST Championship. There, he will join other finalists from around the world as they are honored for their contributions to robotics, leadership, and innovation—and will be considered for selection as a FIRST Leadership Award winner, an honor awarded to only a select group of students internationally.
“Kallen represents everything you hope to see in a student leader,” said Steven Quinlivan, Career Advisor and robotics mentor. “He leads by example, puts in the work behind the scenes, and is always willing to help others grow. What makes him special isn’t just his technical ability—it’s the way he lifts up his teammates and represents our program, school, and community with pride.”
“Kallen is the kind of student every team hopes for,” added Jodi Hintz, co-robotics coach. “He brings a positive attitude, strong work ethic, and a genuine willingness to help others succeed. He has been instrumental in building not just a competitive team, but a supportive and collaborative environment for everyone involved.”
This recognition is not only a testament to Kallen’s hard work and character, but also highlights the strength of Team Crocobots #9473 and the support of our school and community.
Congratulations to Kallen on this incredible accomplishment, and best of luck as he represents Center-Stanton on the world stage in Houston!

All are welcome to come to the FFA Banquet next week!

The CSHS National Honor Society would like to give a huge shout out to the incredibly generous anonymous sponsor who matched the $1,000 we were fundraising to launch our Wildcat Care Closet this spring. We would also like to recognize the Oliver County Food Pantry for their very generous donation of $500 to help keep the care closet stocked. In addition, we thank members of our school community who have provided donations of clothing items for our Center-Stanton students as well.
Please do not hesitate to reach out to Mrs. Braeton Erhardt, school counselors, or any school staff member if your child is in need of personal hygiene items or clothing that we can provide for them, especially as summer draws near.
Thank you all for the wonderful support of our National Honor Society chapter and their vision for the Wildcat Care Closet.
