A reminder that today (Monday, November 8) is an early dismissal day per our school calendar. Students will be dismissed at 1:00 pm with buses running. This will allow our teachers to attend their RTI/EWIMS/COGNIA trainings. Please pick up child at 1:00! Thank you.

Center-Stanton Elementary would like to say THANK YOU for your support with our school fundraiser, because of you it was a huge success! The students together sold 1,013 items, and close to $13,000 in sales! Congratulations to Laramie Staigle for selling 66 items, he sold the most, and Haven Gullickson selling 48 items! Fundraiser order forms were sent in on Friday the 5th, your items should be here within the next 3 weeks!

Good morning, Elementary Parents! Just a quick reminder that today at 3:30 is the latest I will be taking Fundraiser packets! They will be mailed off tomorrow morning, so they must be turned in today! Thank you! We are hoping orders will be in within the next 3 weeks, please be patient as everything these days seem to be backed up. Orders will be prepackaged together, with the students name and the customers name. Happy Holidays, we hope you enjoy your products!

A friendly reminder that family-teacher conferences are this evening for JH & HS Students. The conferences will run from 3:30-9:00 pm. Progress reports will be handed out. Thx.

Here are a few pictures from the PreK-2 Positive Behavior Glow in the Dark Dance Party. 80% of our Prek-2nd grade students qualified to participate in this Month's Positive Choice Activity, based on THEIR positive behaviors in school. As you can see they had a blast. The other 20% had a classroom lesson on the following: 1) Listening to our teacher 2) Raising our hand in class 3) Keeping our hands and feet to ourselves 4) Being a nice friend 5) Making positive choices . We learned that the only person who can control our behavior is OURSELVES. Please ask you child about the party?

Friday's Red Ribbon Week Activity: Students were greeted to school this morning by Sponge Bob Square Pants playing music. (It was a blast seeing their reactions getting off the bus) Students will complete a Drug-Free Pledge and an Act of Kindness Pledge and return them to the Elementary Office. If both pledge sheets are returned to the office they will receive a collapsible water bottle that they can decorate. Positive Choices Theme will continue into the afternoon with a PBIS Party for grades Pre-K thru 2nd Grade. (Shhhh- its a secret, don't tell anyone)(I can't help it, sorry teachers, its a Glow in the Dark Dance Party) from 1:00 to 1:30. Followed by a short recess, then dress up time for the classroom parties. Costume parade at 2:00 then finish the day with Classroom Parties. Thursday's Red Ribbon Week Activity: Students were given a Kindness Mission Card that need to be decoded by the Special Agents at the school. After they received there Mission they needed to complete that Kindness Mission during recess. If the mission was completed they received their prizes. It was a lot of fun, and the Kiddos loved it.

Hello All: Coming home tomorrow is a free Sources of Strength t-shirt. The T-shirt shows a Healthy tree of strength, with the words "We are all Connected". As you may be aware, this year Center-Stanton Public Schools received a grant from the North Dakota Department of Behavioral Health. Through this grant we were able to start a program called Sources of Strength. At the core of Sources of Strength are eight different Strengths: Family Support, Positive Friends, Mentors, Healthy Activities, Generosity, Spirituality, Physical Health, and Mental Health. We spend a lot of time visiting about being a POSITIVE FRIEND. Positive Friends help each other through tough times. My challenge to you as parents/guardians/students is to be a positive friend to someone in need. Each of these strengths shows up in a person’s life differently. Students are invited to explore strength in their own lives, empowered to grow their strengths and build resilience in order to promote health and wellness for themselves and others. You as families/caregivers, play an important collaborative role, in helping learners truly apply strength to their lives in good times and in tough times. You are encouraged to ask your student how they are learning about the strength in their lives. We invite you to join them by naming strengths that you are strong in and use those strengths to navigate both the good times and tough times at home or school. The power of using strength in our lives can move us towards healthy coping, positive problem-solving, resilience, and wellbeing. Mr. Q.

Tuesday's Red Ribbon Week Activities: - Say "NO" Tattoos and Stickers given to all Elementary Students - Drug Free Wildcats spelled out on the fence (See Pictures) Thanks to Mr. Q and the 4th-6th Grade students for their help with this project. (PS. They also helped Mr. Q and Mr. S. spell the words correctly) Effective drug/alcohol education is important because young people are faced with many influences to use both licit and illicit drugs. Education can play a counterbalancing role in shaping a normative culture of safety, moderation, and informed decision making.

🎃 The Elementary Halloween Party is this Friday, October 29th at 2:00 PM. Parents and siblings are allowed to partake in the costume parade. 🎃🎃 A few things to keep in mind; the school dress code still applies, students may not wear anything suggestive or provocative in any nature, and nothing that promotes illegal substances or activities, derogatory, disrespectful, or portrays violence, please no canes, sticks or weapon-like items of any kind. 🚫 🎃🎃🎃 We hope everyone has a safe, but fun Halloween weekend!

Wildcat VB is at home tomorrow (Tuesday) as they host the Eagles of New Town. Csquad match starts at 4:30 pm. Go, Cats!

Families of 7th - 12th grade students, Hope all is going well! We would like to take time to communicate a change to our intervention time. We recognize that we have a lot of students that are working hard, being responsible, and taking care of business at school. Due to this we have implemented an incentive so that on Fridays students who have no missing assignments according to powerschool and have 85% or higher in all their classes can leave school at 3:03 during WAT (Wildcat Advisory Time). Students must check in with their WAT teacher and sign out in the office. Students who use bus transportation must remain in their WAT groups. Students who have their own transportation are required to leave school grounds for the remainder of the school day. This new incentive will begin October 29th. Elementary Parents & Guardians: You should have received the letter for your scheduled conference time for either next week Wednesday or Thursday. If you haven’t received it yet, please check your child’s backpack. Our conference times are in 15 minute increments, please be courteous of others as we have a lot of students to get through. Please arrive 5 minutes before your scheduled time and try and keep them within 15 minutes or less. If you need more time with your child’s teacher, please talk with the teacher to get another time set up. Thank you!

A reminder that the CSHS Music Department will host their Annual Fall Concert on Monday, October 18th at 7:00 pm in the CSHS Gymnasium. Come out and enjoy the wonderful Fall Music with Mrs. Hanson and our Wildcat music students.

JH VB matches vs Flasher are scheduled to start at 3:00 and 4:00. We will move ahead if possible with all matches tonight. HS start at 5:00, or possibly earlier.

REMINDER TODAY IS THE LAST DAY TO SCHEDULE: Parents of Junior High and High School students, if your child needs any of the following immunizations: DTaP, Hep B, IPV/OPV, MMR, Varicella, Meningococcal, or Tdap, the Public Health Nurse will be at the Clinic in Center on October 14th from 2:00-4:30 PM. Please remember to send your child to school with appropriate clothing for the weather! ❄☃️ SNOW is just around the corner...and when there is snow, we are requiring the students to wear snowpants, boots, winter-coat, gloves and a hat for all Elementary Students, K-6th Grades!

Center-Stanton hosts playoff football on Friday night at 7:00 pm v. Trenton Tigers. Due to this being a playoff game, we are not allowed to honor passes (lifetime, season, etc). All who attend, will need to pay admission fee. The HS office will make worker passes.
