A reminder that concussion screening is required to participate in first practice. As of today, we only have 5 JH/HS students who have signed up. Grades 7, 9 and 11 MUST CONCUSSION SCREEN before first practice. Football has these dates August 1 and August 3 available but you must call ahead to reserve a computer slot. Volleyball and X-Country have August 8 and 9. Slots are 8:30 and 10:00 am.
Also, for Football, the Mandaree game scheduled for September 2nd has been moved to September 6th with 5:00-JH and 7:00-Varsity in Center.
Note: Drake-Anamoose will not be able to field a team this season. We are pursuing other scheduling options to make sure we have a 8-9 game season. News to come.

Playing Fall football, volleyball, or cross-country! You need your sports physical and pay to play turned in prior to your first practice. JH = $50.00; HS = $60.00.
In grades 7, 9 and 11? You need to add a concussion baseline score to your file before practice begins. Schedule your concussion screening with Mr. Peterson for August 1st or August 3rd. Call the school at 794-8778. Thank you.

Concussion baseline is required for Fall athletes in grades 7th, 9th, and 11th. Also, is required for anyone who has had a concussion during the past school year or summer. FB/XC can test on August 1st or 3rd. VB can test on August 8th or 9th or 11th. Please contact Mr. Peterson to schedule your baseline testing.
Pay to play is $50.00 for all JH sports/activities and $60.00 for all HS sports/activities. Payable prior to first practice. Players must have at least 9-daily practices with the team before competition day. Thank you.

A reminder that Free and Reduced Lunch Applications are due within the first weeks of school. We will be using an online state system along with the state paper system. You must reapply each year to remain at F/R status from the start of the school year. Applications may be picked up on August 1st at the school office. The link for online applying will be made available the week prior.
There will be no free meals this year through the USDA funding. The federal government did not renew the legislation to allow free meals due to the Covid pandemic.
Meal prices were set at the July board meeting this past week. These will be posted soon to the website. Please check your child's lunch account to ensure there is a minimum balance in the account of at least $20.00. If you are on free status, or reduced status, this amount will help cover the first round of "seconds" if your child chooses to take seconds.

HS Boys' Basketball Mini-Camp

Center-Stanton continues to seek applications from qualified individuals to fill our 3 & 4 year old preschool learning center program. This position has 4-year old class on Monday, Wednesday and Friday mornings until 11:30. And 3-year old program on Tuesday and Thursday mornings until 11:00. This individual must meet qualifications for the school to be licensed for this program.

A reminder that all school sport uniforms and other school equipment must be returned today. Also, lunch balances and other textbook, lab fees must be paid in full today. Failure to return these items or pay off lunch balances and other school fees will result in no grades being stored and no credit earned to advance to next grade. Please check you powerlunch account or contact the office.
Boys and Girls locker room lockers must be cleaned out today, as well. Items left will be turned into lost and found and sent to Good Will this week.

JH/HS students are to park out on the street this morning as the Civic Center parking lot will be used for other purposes all day today. Please DO NOT park in the CIVIC CENTER LOT today. And, do not overflow to the teacher parking area, as well. Street parking only today! Thx

The 22-23 student schedules were handed out today to grades 8th - 11th. There may be gaps during certain class periods due to online courses, ITV, or JET that have not been placed in powerschool yet. Please take a look and call Mr. Mondry at the school if you have any questions. Students can make changes to their in-house classes up until the drop date deadline of August 25th, 2022.

The 6th grade class brought the ND Elementary Reading Contest trophy to its new home at Center-Stanton. The award was presented by Central Region Educational Association's Lindsey Phillips.



Region 4 Softball Tournament has been set for next week in Beulah.
#5 Washburn/CS will play at 1:00 pm on Monday, May 23rd v. #4 Heart River
The rest of Monday is as follows:
#1 Velva plays winner of Hazen / Garrison at 11:00;
#2 Beulah plays winner of Wilton / South Prairie @ 3:00; and
#3 Harvey plays #6 Central McLean at 5:00.

4th Grade Field Trip to the Heritage Center and Ft. Lincoln
The 4th grade went to Bismarck and spent some time observing and learning about ND History. They studied ND History in the classroom and were able to see it first hand.


Kindergarten Zoo Trip
Due to the weather pattern for Friday, we have changed the Kindergarten Field Trip to Tomorrow, Tuesday May 17th.
