Hooray~ It’s May!

The end of the school year is quickly approaching. Please return any library books that are not being used. The goal is to have all books back by May 13th for inventory purposes. There will no longer be any book requests processed at the Center Oliver Library, all school library requests have been suspended by the Central Dakota Library Network. K-12 students will be given notices this next week. K-12 students need to return all library titles and pay fines/fees if applicable, before the school year ends. 7-12 students will need to have their Library/checkout sheet signed. Please stop in and see either Mrs. Meckle or Mrs. Yunker for signatures.

K-1st grades have been busy exploring dinosaurs. The Stegosaurus and Iguanodon were featured dinosaurs this month. 2-6th grade students focused on the planet earth during library times. 101 Ways to Help the Earth with Dr. Seuss’s Lorax  book title was discussed by all students. We realized that we can all help the planet earth by doing little things such as turning the lights off, conserving water, and practicing the 4 R’s: REFUSE, REDUCE, REUSE, and RECYCLE. 7th grade Study Skills students are concluding with presenting their Virtual Zoo Projects and preparing for finals.

*There will be a recycling box for any gently used notebooks, pens, pencils and so on in front of the library as you clean out your lockers.

As we approach the final test week, please be mindful of the students studying in the library.

Thanks for a wonderful school year. Enjoy your summer!
