“Chews” to do your best at the Center Oliver Library!

Study Skills/Study Hall students were given a pack of "Extra" gum and encouraged to work “EXTRA” hard this school year! We are finding that establishing a healthy, productive routine is essential for those who “chews” success. Goal setting and time management are also important skills for prioritizing school work.

K-6th grade students started with the titles The Owl and the Woodpecker by Brian Wildsmith, Manners in the Library by Carrie Finn, and I Love My Teacher by Giles Andreae. Elementary parents please see the COL handouts for your child’s library time. (The MMRL Bookmobile will start September 21. There will be a reminder closer to the time.)

Please welcome Sarah Yunker! She will be our new Center Oliver Library Assistant. She will also be substitute teaching and aiding in other areas of the school Tuesday-Fridays. Sarah is excited to meet all of the students and staff here at the Center-Stanton Public School!

A special thanks to Tracy Barnes and Chris Christianson for all of the book donations. Thank you to Ms. Froseth for the K-3 DVD Sid the Science Kid collection.  Feel free to donate any slightly used book titles to the Center Oliver Library.

The courier stop will be Thursdays each week for the COL. If you have a book title or other resource(s) needed, please e-mail me at milissa.meckle@k12.nd.us and if we don’t have it, we will inter-library loan it!

Have a great school year!
